Wieuca, Father, Pinkest

8pm / $15-$20 / All Ages

Wieuca:

Born out of the OG Mediafire scene in the dying twenty-tweens, Wieuca is known (to relatively few) for their heady mix of indie, post-hardcore and Southern Gothic influences. Based in Atlanta and Athens, GA, Wieuca has modeled themselves after prolific lo-fi acts like Guided By Voices, with over 40 releases to date. With blistering guitars and glitchy electronics, Wieuca's sprawling catalog provides a futuristic and aggressive take on 90's oddball favorites. Having collaborated with artists ranging from indie darling Faye Webster to Three 6 Mafia's La Chat, Wieuca's calling card is finding creative and often bizarre ways to bridge disparate subgenres and play with their tropes. When not performing or recording, Wieuca spends time harvesting the adrenochrome of younger and more promising local acts.

Father:

Father is an Atlanta-based rapper, producer, and founder of Awful Records, known for his deadpan delivery and irreverent style that helped define a wave of underground rap in the 2010s. Since his breakout track “Look at Wrist,” he’s released seven genre-bending albums, including fan favorites Young Hot Ebony, Awful Swim, and his newest release Patricide. A new sound blending southern rap & UK-inspired electronica. With hundreds of millions of streams, a dedicated cult following, and a reputation for unpredictable live shows, Father remains one of Atlanta’s most original voices.
