Since opening in 1975 Nectars Restaurant on Main Street was the social and musical heart of Downtown Burlington.

The owner and proprietor Nectar Rorris a Greek immigrant operated his business with a simple plan; serve food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and evenings with live music every night with no cover.

The business closed suddenly in 2025 after 50 years with no opportunity to properly acknowledge the contribution to the community.

The chance will happen on Sunday June 21 at Higher Ground when at the Nectars Experience.

Many of those who were part of it, musician, workers and patrons will have the opportunity to pay tribute to the man and the many people who were part of it.
