Known worldwide as the bassist for Aquarium Rescue Unit and the Allman Brothers Band, and as a founding member of Dead & Company, Oteil Burbridge is celebrated and loved by millions of fans for his virtuosity, creativity, and powerful live performances.

Performing with Oteil for the first time is Vermont-based trio LaMP, featuring Russ Lawton, Ray Paczkowski, and Scott Metzger. Drawing on decades of experience with artists including Trey Anastasio Band, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD), and many of the most respected names in improvisational music, LaMP has earned a reputation for deep grooves, fearless exploration, and exceptional musicianship, becoming one of the most exciting acts on today’s live music scene.

Together, Oteil and LaMP promise to create a rare musical partnership, blending world-class artistry with spontaneous collaboration all to benefit Make-A-Wish's mission to bring hope, strength and joy to children with critical illnesses in Vermont, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island.

Two-time Grammy Award–winning bassist Oteil Burbridge has spent more than three decades touring and recording at the highest level of modern music. Most recently known for his role in Dead & Company, helping carry forward the Grateful Dead legacy for a new generation. Oteil tours extensively with Oteil & Friends, and is also a member of The Toy Factory Project, honoring the legacy of guitarist Toy Caldwell.

A founding member of the early ’90s Southern jazz-fusion group Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit, Oteil later became the longest-tenured bassist in the history of The Allman Brothers Band.

On May 1, 2026, Oteil will release a new collaborative album with vocalist Lamar Williams Jr. titled ‘The Offering’ - recorded in December 2024 at Iceland’s Flóki Studios and produced by Soulive co-founder Alan Evans.

‘The Offering’ centers on melody, groove, and message rather than genre, weaving together Southern soul, gospel harmonies, improvisational rock, and African-rooted rhythms, all anchored by Burbridge’s banjo explorations and song-driven ensemble approach. First single “The Way We Rise” is out now via Flóki Studios.

Interstate jammers LaMP — featuring Vermont-based Russ Lawton (drums) and Ray Paczkowski (keys), alongside Brooklynite Scott Metzger (guitar) — distill singular, road-honed improv instincts into taut, instrumental epics.

While each of the players has extensive experience with other gigs — Lawton and Paczkowski with the Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) and Soule Monde, and Metzger through projects such as Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (JRAD) and Medeski, Martin, Metzger & Cline (MMMC) — LaMP has hewed its own path.

The trio is currently touring behind their second studio collection, One Of Us, that packs 10 tracks into 35-minutes of kaleidoscopic interplay and club-shifting grooves. It’s the cleanest distillation of the LaMP sound yet, a mission statement of improvisational group-think and compositional chops.

Throughout its runtime, One Of Us acts as a showcase for the myriad of sonic flavors LaMP brings to the table, delivering a listen which works both as deep headphone immersion or a packable-party custom-tailored to deliver the jams to upcoming 2025 tour hangs.

As word has spread and crowds have grown with each subsequent tour, it’s become clear that LaMP ft. Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger & Ray Paczkowski will be a musical force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future.
