When Lambrini Girls roared out of the traps at the start of the decade, cultivating a no-nonsense message of rightful anger purpose-built to galvanise the Left and piss off the Right, Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez announced themselves as the band that some people (internet trolls, transphobes, most -ists) might not have wanted but we all needed.

With 2025 debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’, the Brighton-formed duo watched their music grow bigger and travel further than they could have imagined: to a UK Top 20 album chart placing, magazine covers from Kerrang! to NME, and sold out tours across the globe. Fighting the good fight with guts, wit and an unmissably carnage-filled live show, it felt like Lambrini Girls had reached a climax - infuriating all the right people, and watching their crowds swell in tandem - at exactly the right time for a world gone mad. And then, the world got even worse.

Enter ‘No Refunds’: a darker, even more direct and radical record for a moment in history where little else would make sense. Its contents reads like a litany of modern horrors: genocide, fascism, the rise of AI and the descent into the grubby basement of the ‘manosphere’. That all of these separately terrifying ideas are happening concurrently, in the small window of time since Lambrini Girls’ debut not-two years ago, speaks to how necessary its writing became for the pair. The album arrives as a leap forward for the band - both in the confidence and maturity of their lyrics, and the breadth and execution of the music around it.

Sprints

SPRINTS are a Dublin four-piece who turn rage, grief and hope into some of the most ferocious guitar music from Ireland. Fronted by Karla Chubb, with Sam McCann on bass, Jack Callan on drums and Zac Stephenson on guitar, they broke through with 2024's debut Letter To Self. It drew five-star reviews from NME and DIY, a Choice Music Prize nomination and BBC Radio 1 support, and the band toured the US twice that year.

Second album All That Is Over (Sub Pop/City Slang, 2025) came from a band rebuilt from the inside. Produced again by Gilla Band's Daniel Fox, it pushes into shoegaze haze, “cowboy gothic” swagger and Radiohead-sized builds while going harder than ever. Its songs were written on tour buses and in soundchecks as the world outside burned. “I think we came out of 2024 as quite literally different people and a completely different band,” says Karla. DIY gave it five stars.

An early-2026 North American headline tour and new single ‘Trickle Down’ led into a summer across Europe's biggest festivals, from Southside, Hurricane and Pukkelpop to Paléo and Green Man, and a crowd of almost 10,000 at France's La Route du Rock. In September they headlined the 100 Club's 50th anniversary Punk Special, marking the 1976 shows that featured the Sex Pistols and The Clash. Their track ‘Something's Gonna Happen’ features in Danny Boyle's Ink, starring Jack O'Connell, Guy Pearce and Claire Foy.

Now they're bringing it back to North America.
