Jonathan Hannau is a Chicago-based composer and pianist devoted to the surreal, minimal, and abstract possibilities of music. As a pianist he has been praised for his delicate, refined touch, his capable handling of the extremes of dynamic shape, and his uncanny knack for navigating complex polyrhythms. Jonathan's recorded music is available online, including four full-length LPs and several collaborative EPs and singles. Jonathan plays piano in two chamber groups: Mycelium New Music and Flannau Duo, which was awarded a Chicago DCASE grant for 2023-2024. He’s collaborated with Ensemble Dal Niente, ~Nois Saxophone quartet, Chicago Composers Orchestra, as well as numerous artists throughout the city of Chicago and abroad. In early 2024 he made his Chicago classical music radio debut on WFMT (98.7) where he performed works by Janacek and Bacewicz with violinist Hannah Christiansen. He currently holds the position as Artistic Director of the Chicago Composers Orchestra.

Sasha Ishov is a Russian-American flutist exploring how performance and research intersect to expand the flute’s expressive possibilities. Praised for his “well-sounded and lucid” artistry (San Diego Union-Tribune), his work bridges contemporary and classical repertoire through solo, chamber, and orchestral performances and experimental collaborations with technology and new media.
He has premiered more than 100 works and performed at the Ojai Music Festival, BBC Proms, Carnegie Hall, June in Buffalo, and the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics in Graz, as well as with the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble and San Diego Symphony. Sasha co-leads Offscreen with percussionist Michael Jones and Terns with bassist Will Yager. His project PrismaSonus, presented at Harvard University and the Qualcomm Institute, examines how technology shapes performer–composer communication.
He has lectured at UC San Diego and will spend Fall 2026 lecturing at the University of Florida. He holds degrees from UC San Diego (DMA) and Eastman (BM). Sasha is a Miyazawa Artist.

Ilana Waniuk is a violinist, creator and curator with interests ranging from improvisation to visual arts. She is a founding member and co-artistic director of Tkarón:to (Toronto) - based ensemble Thin Edge New Music Collective, Balancing on the Edge (multidisciplinary production company merging contemporary music and circus arts) and in^set (flexible chamber ensemble dedicated to improvisation, creation and experimentation. Ilana has performed on concert stages across Canada, Italy, Argentina, Poland, Japan, Iceland, Mexico, the U.S and Germany. She received a doctorate in contemporary performance from the University of California, San Diego where her research explored crossmodal perception in collaborative audiovisual practices.

Described as “shin[ing] with a dazzling display of virtuosity,” by Tempo magazine, violinist Myra Hinrichs is a recent transplant to Los Angeles, having previously lived in San Diego and Chicago. She can be found around the country creating and playing in chamber ensembles such as i/O Quartet, Acorn Projects, and Chartreuse String Trio, or maybe joining Monday Evening Concerts or punk marching band Mucca Pacifica for the evening. She has taught Music Theory and Music History courses as well as Primary Violin Lessons at the university level, and also enjoys teaching violin and viola students of all ages.

Will Yager is a double bassist committed to experimental music, improvisation, and collaborating with other artists in the creation of new solo and chamber repertoire for the bass. He is a founding member of LIGAMENT, a duo with soprano Anika Kildegaard; Wombat, an improvising trio with Justin Comer and Carlos Cotallo Solares; and Terns, a new duo with flutist Sasha Ishov. Performance highlights include appearances at Bang on a Can’s Long Play Festival, Big Ears Festival, International Society of Bassists Convention, Constellation Chicago’s Frequency Series, High Zero Festival, SPLICE Festival, and the University of Iowa Center for New Music. In addition to his varied performing activities, Yager teaches double bass at the University of Northern Iowa.

Dan Galat is a Chicago-based violinist and violist, a classically trained performer comfortable across a wide range of styles and techniques. Working primarily with living composers, Dan is a founding member of Missing Piece, a Chicago based musical ensemble that has commissioned over forty new musical works. Dan has recently performed with Fulcrum Point New Music, Crossing Borders Music, Access Contemporary Music, Chicago Composers Orchestra (concertmaster), Manuel Cinema, Sigur Ros, Louisiana Philharmonic and Illinoise - an dance adaptation of Sufjan Stevens’ album. He has received grants from New Music USA, Illinois Arts Council and Chicago DCASE for his creative musical work.
Dan completed his BM and MM at Indiana University studying with Kevork Mardirossian, Joseph Swensen, and Desiree Ruhstrat. Dan is a dedicated teacher of the instrument and is on faculty at Merit School of Music as conductor and teacher. Dan is a founder of the Bridgeport Music Collective, an artist-run space for performance, education and music therapy in his home neighborhood of Bridgeport on Chicago’s South Side. On November 6th, Dan will be releasing an album GOTTA DO MORE of creative string music with collaborators heroes, interlopers on 1473.

Active as both an orchestral and chamber musician, Kelly Quesada can be seen playing in a range of styles — from new music to classical, to Baroque performance practice, to free improvisation. She is currently the other half of the duo Missing Piece with violinist Dan Galat, as well as the cellist of the Tuuli Quartet. Previously, Kelly was principal cellist of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, a founding member of the Delgani String Quartet, and has toured as a member of the Portland Cello Project.
In addition to her extensive performance career, Kelly is also active as an educator, working with students spanning all ages and levels in private lessons and group instruction at South Side Suzuki Cooperative. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in cello performance from the University of Alabama where she studied with Carlton McCreery and a Master’s from the University of Oregon where she studied with Steven Pologe and Marc Vanscheeuwijck.
