kensett is the des moines-based, dark indie arthouse project founded by vocalist luke okland & drummer tyler faris. drawing influence from the 80s, dream-pop, alternative rock, and tumblr-era internet aesthetics, the duo push to create fresh, atmospheric, narrative-fronted pieces that maintain a steady sense of nostalgia. with shared roots in jazz and film, the two are drawn towards innovation in art—always aiming to inspire more throughout their live performances.

As a group they’ve been many things but Lady Revel in their purest form is a Midwestern indie rock band unapologetic about their preference for pop hooks. They’ve entered a new era with an album closer than ever to their hearts, working with veteran indie musician and producer Scott Yoshimura. They strive to bring all of themselves to their music and want everyone to meet them there. It’s a place to be in love and to break up, to laugh and to cry, to believe and to doubt, and above all, to belong.
