About Haploid: Haploid are audibility alchemists: researchers and knob-turners portioning out carefully-measured quantities of the disparate elements of sound and form. The process is the kind associated with the further reaches of experimentation. Electronic currents cycling through volumes of cavernous guitar echoes and milelong vocal sequences. The machinery spinning up to frenetic levels of insolubility before finally beginning to unwind. The result is a kind of acid-washed math rock in its most solidified form, recognizable by the distinction of its features of psychedelia, electronica, and noise spun together at its core.

About Zap Tura: Zap Tura is the celestial psych-pop project of Des Moines-based multi-instrumentalist Andrew Jones. Between the bleary-eyed bedroom-pop of their debut, “Juxtaprose,” and the thick, congregational production of their newest album, “Adaptasia,” the project focuses on intricately crafted walls of intertwining, instrumental textures and found-sound experiments. Those details are pulled from organic sources like field recordings, studio sounds, and snippets from smartphone videos. Together they create a rich body of sound piercing through the layers with the kind of personal details hidden in the timestamps and location codes of digitally-captured memories.
