Gyasi is a Nashville-based artist who reimagines the conventions of classic
rock ’n’ roll through a flamboyant, contemporary aesthetic. Known for his sharp
riffs, catchy melodies, and theatrical stage performances, he has developed an
approach to rock that is simultaneously retro and decidedly modern.
Originally from West Virginia and raised in a rural holler, Gyasi has steadily made
his mark on the American rock scene, distinguished by a strong visual identity
and a magnetic stage presence. His album “Pronounced Jah-See”—recorded
and self-produced on analog tape—showcases his guitar work, songwriting, and
production in a direct, organic format and follow up, “Here Comes the Good Part”
pushed his work further.
Influenced by the legacy of glam rock and icons such as David Bowie and Marc
Bolan, Gyasi offers a personal take on the genre, one that has garnered support
from prominent figures within the rock world, including recording guitar with the
original Alice Cooper Group. His work honors the rock tradition while actively
seeking to push its boundaries.
