ABOUT CHYL

CHYL is a Los Angeles-based producer and DJ redefining the intersection of electronic music, car culture, and fashion through one common obsession: speed. After earning a finance degree from Columbia University and beginning a career in investment banking, CHYL walked away from Wall Street to pursue music full-time. The gamble paid off. She has since emerged as a leading force behind the Speed House movement, building a signature sound around blistering tempos, intricate production, heavy bass, and the high-octane aesthetic that has become synonymous with her name.

What began with viral releases and a breakout remix of Kanye West’s “Mercy” has evolved into a global project with more than 15 million streams, sold-out headline shows, major festival appearances, and support from some of dance music’s biggest names, including Steve Aoki, Marshmello, and Dillon Francis. Her debut Los Angeles headline sold out in just seven minutes, setting the stage for a fully sold-out debut North American headline tour, with multiple cities

selling out within minutes.

CHYL’s rise has taken her to stages including EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, Countdown, and festivals and clubs across North America and beyond, while her releases have landed on leading electronic labels including Ultra, Monstercat, Bassrush, and Dim Mak. Her music has also crossed into gaming and mainstream culture through placements in Rocket League and editorial support from playlists including Dance Rising, Nasty Bits, All New Dance, Bangers, Ultra Gaming, Women of Electronic, Shuffle Syndrome, Beast Mode Dance, and ESPN Top Plays.

Beyond music, CHYL has built a world around speed. Her unmistakable visual identity and connection to automotive and fashion culture have led to partnerships with brands including Google Pixel, PacSun, and Les Mills, while her personality and comedic edge have helped turn the project into something that extends far beyond the DJ booth.

Named to the 2024 Future of Dance by 1001Tracklists and DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs platform and, perhaps just as importantly, ranked among Magnetic Magazine’s Top 20 Funniest DJs, CHYL has been featured by Forbes, GRAMMY.com, DJ Mag, LA Weekly, and other major outlets. From leaving investment banking to selling out tours and bringing Speed House to audiences around the world, CHYL’s career has been defined by taking risks.
