Choreo & Cocktails is a themed dance experience where guests learn choreography inspired by the music of the night while enjoying a fun, social atmosphere at Buffalo Iron Works.

Each event is built around a different theme. The Summer Series themes include: Boy Bands, Taylor Swift, & Pop Divas, with choreography, music, visuals, cocktails, and surprises designed to match each event..

The evening starts with a 30 minute choreography class where the host Danny breaks everything down in a way that’s approachable for all experience levels. After the first section, there’s a 20 minute halftime where guests can grab a cocktail, refill water, take photos, catch up with friends, and experience a themed surprise unique to that month’s event.

After halftime, everyone comes back together for another 30 minute class to put everything together and really settle into the choreography. Once the class portion wraps up, guests are encouraged to stay while the night shifts into an open dance party where people can let loose, hang out, and keep the energy going.

Some people come to fully dance. Some people stay more lowkey and just want to enjoy the vibes. There’s no pressure to perform and no expectation to be perfect. The goal is simply to have a good time.

Specialty cocktails and full bar service will be available for purchase throughout the night along with photo opportunities and interactive elements during the event.

What time do doors open?

Doors open at 7 PM. The event begins at 8 PM.

What does the schedule look like?

The night starts with a 30 minute choreography class based on the event theme. After that, there’s a 20 minute halftime where guests can grab drinks, take photos, hang out with friends, and enjoy a special surprise planned for that month’s event. Following halftime, there’s another 30 minute class where everything gets tied together before the night opens up into a dance party.

Do I need dance experience?

Not at all. The choreography is taught in a way that allows anyone to participate regardless of experience level.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Some people dress to match the theme, some wear workout clothes, and some keep it casual.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. A lot of people do, and the environment is designed to feel welcoming whether you come solo or with a group.

Will drinks be available?

Yes. Specialty themed cocktails and full bar service will be available for purchase throughout the event.

Will food be available?

While Buffalo Iron Works does have a kitchen, food will not be available during Choreo & Cocktails events.

Is there parking?

You can use nearby surface lots or street parking. Please do not park in the lot directly connected next to Buffalo Iron Works. We also encourage using a rideshare service.

Is there seating?

Limited seating is available to the side of the dance floor, the bar, and the balcony, but most of the event is designed as an interactive standing experience.

Do people actually dress for the themes?

A lot of people do, but it’s completely optional. Some guests go all out while others keep it simple.

What kind of music will be played?

The music throughout the night matches the event theme, including both the choreography sections and the dance party afterward

Created by Buffalo native Danny DiCesare, Choreo & Cocktails was inspired by the idea that dancing should feel fun, social, and accessible to everyone.

Danny is a former professional dancer based in Los Angeles who has performed with artists including Charli XCX, Katy Perry, Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, The Weeknd, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, David Guetta, along with appearances on NBC's The Voice, national commercials, and live productions.

After spending over a decade in the professional dance industry, Danny created Choreo & Cocktails to give people a place to try dancing in a welcoming environment without the pressure or intimidation that can sometimes come with traditional dance spaces and studios.
