Raised in a Colombian-Nicaraguan household, he grew up between Florida and Kentucky, absorbing salsa, bluegrass, and evangelical culture. After leaving his acclaimed Christian band Ecclesia in 2021, he reemerged as Cain Culto—an artist reclaiming his spirituality, sexuality, and cultural roots.
