Bob Baldwin is an American pianist, composer, producer, arranger, radio host, entrepreneur, and independent music pioneer whose career has helped shape the sound of contemporary jazz for nearly four decades. A native of Mount Vernon, New York, Baldwin has built an international career performing throughout North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, bringing together contemporary jazz, R&B, funk, soul, Brazilian music, and global influences with his distinctive keyboard sound and rhythmic approach. Bob has released over 50 studio albums in his career.
Over the course of his career, Baldwin has recorded dozens of albums and established an impressive history of success at jazz radio, including numerous Top 10 and Top 20 singles. In 2026, he added another major milestone when “HEPnotic” reached #1 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Airplay chart, demonstrating both his longevity and continued relevance in a musical landscape that has changed dramatically since his recording debut. Beyond the stage and recording studio, Baldwin is also the creator and host of the long-running NewUrbanJazz Radio Network, further extending his industry influence and as an artist, broadcaster, producer, and champion of contemporary music.
His latest album, BSpoke, continues that evolution, bringing Baldwin’s contemporary jazz foundation together with Brazilian music, Caribbean rhythms, soul, funk, and R&B, with appearances and collaborations featuring internationally respected musicians including Toninho Horta, Andy Narell, Azymuth, and others. His live shows draw from nearly four decades of original recordings alongside contemporary jazz, R&B, funk, Brazilian influences, and select classics, while leaving room for the spontaneity and interaction that define live jazz. Whether performing for thousands at a major festival or creating an intimate experience in a small listening room, Bob Baldwin brings the same musicianship, energy, professionalism, and connection to every audience.
