Hailing from the mountains outside Asheville, North Carolina, Alma brings a fresh perspective to the sounds of early country music. With a voice reminiscent of Dolly Parton and Norah Jones, and songwriting inspired by John Prine, Guy Clark, and Townes Van Zandt, she blends heartfelt storytelling, old-time influences, and a distinctive Appalachian sound.

A multi-instrumentalist who began playing fiddle at age 12 before picking up banjo and guitar, Alma has spent years traveling the country, performing everywhere from intimate listening rooms to bars and street corners. Her musical journey has included an appearance on American Idol and recording a critically acclaimed album in an abandoned church in the West Texas desert.
