Friends, collaborators and fellow musicians come together at The Cutting Room in New York City on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, for A Night of Thommy Price: Remembrance and Legacy, a live celebration of the life, music and legacy of drummer Thommy Price.

Price’s career spanned more than five decades, with recording and touring credits that included Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Billy Idol, Scandal, Mink DeVille, The Psychedelic Furs, Blue Öyster Cult, and many others. Known for his power, feel and musical instinct behind the kit, Thommy built a body of work that crossed rock, punk, new wave and pop while always remaining rooted in the song.

The December 9 show will bring together musicians representing different chapters of Thommy’s life and career — longtime friends, collaborators and artists connected to the New York rock world that was home to him for decades.

The evening will feature Trashy Annie, with special guests Ricky Byrd, Steve Conte and Kasim Sulton, and additional performers to be announced.

The show will be hosted by radio DJ Maria Milito and drummer and music journalist Billy Amendola.

Rather than a traditional memorial centered around speeches, the evening will center on what connected Thommy to so many people throughout his life: the music. Performances will draw from different periods of his career and from the musicians and friendships that were part of his story.

“I hope this night represents how Thommy lived — surrounded by music and the people he loved making it with,” said his wife, Stefunny Price. “Thommy was never interested in making things about himself. For him, it was always about the song, the musicians around him, and this deep, inherited drive to play. That is who he was.”

A portion of ticket sales from the evening will benefit MusiCares, which provided meaningful support to Thommy and his family during his illness.

“MusiCares was there for Thommy when we genuinely needed help,” Price said. “Being able to give something back in his name feels like the right way to support other musicians when they need it.”

Thommy Price died on October 8, 2025, at age 68.

A Night of Thommy Price: Remembrance and Legacy brings together the musicians, friends and fans whose lives intersected with his for an evening of music that reflects both the career he built and the relationships he built through it.

Thommy Price was a New York drummer whose career spanned more than five decades. Known for a powerful, musical and immediately recognizable approach behind the kit, he recorded and performed with artists including Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Billy Idol, Scandal, Mink DeVille, The Psychedelic Furs, Blue Öyster Cult, Ronnie Spector, Patty Smyth, and many others.

His work reached across generations and genres, but the constant throughout his career was his instinct for the song and the musicians around him.
