About:

Sound & Gravity returns to Chicago September 3-6 for its second edition after a brilliant and celebratory first year. The festival, brought to you by Constellation, will take place across multiple venues in Chicago’s Bricktown neighborhood and caters to adventurous, creative listeners eager to support a musical universe founded, curated, and run by artists. Festival and day passes grant pass holders entry to all festival shows and experiences, subject to capacity. A limited number of individual show tickets will be released shortly before the festival.

Enjoy river views while moving between the festival’s beloved spaces on foot or bike. Grab a drink at Judson & Moore, or a bite from one of our food vendors. Sound & Gravity is volunteer fueled so if you’d like to volunteer please reach out.

Ages: 17+*, Judson & Moore requires a parent or guardian attend with anyone under 21

Venues

  • Constellation
  • Athenaeum Center
  • Hungry Brain
  • Judson & Moore
  • Rockwell on the River
  • Beat Kitchen
  • Guild Row

Ticketing:

Festival Passes: $240 — access to festival programming across all days, subject to venue capacity.

Day Passes: $85 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), $50 (Thursday) — access to that day’s programming across venues, subject to venue capacity. After purchasing a festival or day pass, you’ll receive an email invitation to “Create Your Festival Experience,” where you can tell us which shows you’re most interested in; your responses help us plan and do our best (though we cannot guarantee) to make space for you at those performances.

A limited number of individual show tickets will be released closer one month before the festival date.

Venue Tickets: $30 (Hungry Brain, Guild Row, or Judson & Moore), $40 (Constellation or Beat Kitchen), $55 (Rockwell [event space + patio] or Athenaeum). Venue Tickets are very limited and take the venue size and anticipated Festival Pass attendance into mind and are allotted accordingly. Venue Tickets guarantee entry to their assigned venue on the selected day and are great for folks looking to see a specific show rather than exploring the whole festival.
