Bats Outta Hell is a rock band formed in West Lafayette, Indiana, with close ties to Purdue University. Since forming in 2023, the band has built a growing following through independent releases and live performances across the greater Midwest. Pulling inspiration from across the rock spectrum, Bats Outta Hell blends diverse influences into a sound that feels both familiar and distinctly their own.
That ever-evolving sound will carry into the band's forthcoming debut full-length album, recorded in South Philadelphia, a city described as "the center of indie rock music" by Grammy-winning producer Will Yip.
RILEY LAWLES
Riley Lawles is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Seymour, Indiana, who has loved music for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a music loving family, she was inspired to pick up a variety of instruments, including the clarinet, ukulele, and guitar. She always knew music was what made her tick, but it took time to find the confidence to share that part of herself with others.
Around the age of 13, Riley started playing gigs with her dad and eventually had the opportunity to open for artists like EmiSunshine and The Creekers. In 2022, she began posting covers and original songs on social media, where she connected and collaborated with other songwriters and musicians.
Inspired by artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Jake Minch, Joshua Slone, and The Lumineers, Riley writes honest, melodic songs that aim to connect with people on a deeper level. Her music explores themes of grief, love, heartbreak, and the ups and downs of growing up, turning personal experiences into stories that listeners can see themselves in.
